One of the rewards of being a fan of someone like Connie is the people who you get to know through them. This character is one of those precious gems we rarely find in this old world.

I don't even know how many years I have known Joe. But, I do know it is a lot more then 10.  One of my first contacts with Joe was him seeking anything at all by Connie Francis that was live; this guy loves this woman so much.  At first I was a little concerned about his mental state! ha ha!  But, Joe is a normal Italian - American male.  Well, maybe not the NORMAL part!  He is just Joe! I call him "Joe-baby" as a term of endearment, because he is such a teddy bear.

Joe loves music, all types, he has a good ear too.  He has helped me a lot with my Connie Collection by doing some magic with old files. He is really good at it.

But, the reason I want to share Joe with you is because; Connie Francis is a Falbo Family Love Affair.  It started with his grandparents and still continues today.

For an artist to maintain an entire family's interest for generations there is something very special about that person. It goes beyond the way a singer sings some songs.

Joe's story is not unique at all, it is pretty common from the comments we read on our mailing list.  But, it is what is still taking place in the hearts and souls of the people who grew up with or recently discovered and rediscovered the Magic of Connie Francis.  Joe is from the Chicago, Illinois area of the USA.  He recently attended a show there to see Connie. I'll let him tell you about his experience.

I can’t ever remember a time when Connie wasn’t a part of my life. She has always been there every family dinner and holiday she is there singing her heart out for us.

  Connie sings "Am I Blue"

My whole entire family is Connie fans and has been since the very beginning. My mother jokes that I love Connie so much because when she was pregnant with me she would sing Connie songs to me.

Every time I hear Connie's Italian recordings I see my grandparents faces and how much they loved Connie too, she was always on the stereo whenever my grandma was housecleaning, which if your Italian you know happens every day!!

  Connie sings "Al Di La"

My mom and dad being the same age as Connie had the chance to be there from the beginning and to see her several times in each decade since the 1950's.

I have had the good fortune to see her perform live only 4 times but I treasure each one as a great memory. Because of Carol and some great people (Mike Church and Terry Hall) I got to spend almost an entire day with Connie!!

Connie sings "Time Alone Will Tell"

This was the first chance I had to meet and actually talk with her and it was a dream come true for me and my parents.

I hope was able to project thru my actions the love and respect I feel and have felt for her my entire life.

Connie sings "What Good Are Tears"

She is a special person that only comes along once in a lifetime and I am glad I was around to witness what a true God given person she is.
